Professor Kurt Widhalm is Emeritus Professor for Clinical Nutrition and Pediatrics at the Medical University of Vienna. His scientific fields are obesity, lipid and lipoprotein disorders and metabolic diseases. He has been president of the European Society of Pediatric Research (ESPR), the Congress of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and the Federation of European Nutritional Societies. At present he is president of the Austrian Academy of Clinical Nutrition and consultant of the Austrian Chambers of Physicians.
