Plant-based diets: one of the most effective individual steps to tackle climate change

Experts from Lund University have calculated that switching to a plant-based diet is 1 out of 4 most effective actions individuals can take to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

The researchers considered a broad range of individual lifestyle choices and calculated their potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in developed countries. They analyzed 39 peer reviewed papers and government reports. The aim of this research was to identify the actions individuals could take that would have the greatest impact on reducing their greenhouse gas emissions.
