Prof. Dr. Helmut Heseker

He is Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Paderborn.

Prof. Helmut Heseker has a diploma in human nutrition and was awarded a PhD from the Institute of Nutrition, at the University of Giessen (Germany). Following his PhD training, he worked at the Institute of Nutrition before his substitute professorship at the University of Paderborn and since 1997 he has been Professor in Human Nutrition at the University of Paderborn, Department of Nutrition and Consumers. He is also visiting professor at Jean Mayer HNRCA at Tufts University Boston.

Prof. Heseker’s main research interests include: vitamins and bioactive plant substances, nutritional epidemiology, nutrition and health through the life circle, nutrition and health education.
