“Understanding cardiometabolic health and dietary patterns“
Scheduled on Wednesday 23 September, 9-10pm CET.
- Professor Bruce Griffin, University of Surrey, will provide an overview of cardiometabolic health and its relationship with dietary patterns.
- Professor David Jenkins, University of Toronto, will then present the latest evidence for his #PortfolioDiet. The Portfolio diet is a plant-based diet that focuses on four cholesterol-lowering foods including 45 g nuts (tree nuts or peanuts); 50 g soy or other plant proteins; 20 g viscous soluble fibre; and 2 g plant sterols (plant sterol-enriched margarine or supplements).
