APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The Alpro Foundation is always interested in supporting research in the field of "Plant-based nutrition and its impact on human health".
The applications are evaluated twice a year (spring and fall) by the Alpro Foundation Board.

Short Proposal
Applicants should first submit a letter of intent, which briefly describes the project (max 1 page) and an estimated budget for sponsoring. If the project is compatible with the Alpro Foundation’s funding policy, the scientists will receive an invitation to submit a full sponsoring proposal.The applications should be written in English. The letter of intent and the application should highlight the relevance of the project.
Full Proposal
After approval of the short proposal by the Scientific Advisory Board a full proposal can be sent.
The full proposal should address following topics:
- Problem statement: max. 1 page State of the art of the problem
- Objective and sustainability: max. 1 page Short description of the scientific goals of the project
- Project description: max. 5 pages including tables and figures
- Time schedule: max. 1 page Time schedule of the planned activities
- Budget
- References
Applications are accepted throughout the year. However, the Alpro Foundation encourages applicants to submit their proposals in time (by mid-september or mid-february), in order to have sufficient time for internal and external screening.

The Alpro Foundation was present at the IOF WCO-ECCEO10 in Florence.
On May 5th the Alpro Foundation held a symposium on plant-based nutrition and bone health.
